Pharmacist
Principal Functions :
Performs routine pharmacy activities, including clerical and inventory duties.
Assists with in-patient and Out Patient dispensing of medicine according to the policies and procedures of the department and the hospitals.
Provides proper records keeping and billing.
Checks the accuracy of the drugs.
Assist with stock control within the pharmacy.
Performs other appropriates tasks and duties that is assigned within their levels of skill, abilities and knowledge.
Is able to use the pharmacy computer system for dispensing and stock control.
Assists with the pre-packing of medication that will later be dispensed.
Fills prescription and dispenses drugs.
Labels all drug containers issued to various services.
Checks the manufacturer and expiration dates and labels of drugs.
Posts delivery receipts and records issuances of drugs to ledger cards and accomplishes issue reports forms after every shift.
Files prescriptions and maintains them for the required number of years as prescribed by the law.
Notifies physicians of any therapeutic incompatibilities, potential drug interactions and duplicates prescriptions.
Assists in drug selection for hospital formulary.
Ensures the availability of drugs at all time.
Maintains follow up inventory weekly.
Attends Therapeutic Committee meetings.
Processes emergency Purchase of drugs.
Creates reports regarding MDRP (maximum drug retail price).
Tasks related to PDEA ( Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency).
Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Admin Officer/ Department Head.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Pharmacist.
Have at least 1 year Hospital Pharmacy work experiences.
Computer Literate.
Trustworthy, detail-Oriented and self-motivated.
