NOTE:
• COVID19-related symptoms: Fever, cough, colds, difficulty breathing, headache, sore throat, anorexia, general body weakness/body malaise, myalgia, loss of smell, loss of taste, loose watery stools, neurologic deficits, desaturation, requirement for oxygen supplementation
• AEROSOL GENERATING PROCEDURES (AGP): Airway surgeries (e.g. ENT, thoracic, trans sphenoidal surgeries), Autopsies, Bronchoscopy (unless carried out through a closed-circuit ventilation system), Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Dental procedures, Endotracheal intubation and extubation, Evacuation of pneumoperitoneum during laparoscopic procedures, Gastrointestinal endoscopy, High frequency oscillatory ventilation, non-invasive ventilation (e.g. BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC), Nebulization, sputum induction, Open suctioning of airways, manual ventilation, Surgical procedures using high-speed / high-energy devices (e.g. high-speed cutters and drills, powered instrumentation, suction microdebrider, tracheostomy, nebulization)
• Patients who previously tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 90 days prior to admission may NOT undergo repeat RT-PCR testing
• Recovery from COVID-19 will follow existing DOH protocols for isolation (DOH Circular NO. 2022-013).
• Referral to Pediatric service / Internal Medicine / Pulmonology / Infectious Disease service for clearance prior to admission is upon attending physician’s discretion.
